Syracuse Lacrosse is (6-1) and on a four game winning streak. They are also ranked second in the nation in every lacrosse poll. Now the team has something else to cheer about.
SU had four players named to Inside Lacrosse's Midseason All American team.
The four named are all seniors with Kenny Nims, Dan Hardy and Sid Smith named to the first team and Matt Abbott getting second team honors.
Nims leads the team in scoring and with 15 goals and 16 assists. Smith is the anchor of the defense, which allows only 6.89 goals a game. Hardy and Abbott are both major parts of the talent Syracuse midfield lines.
The Orange have all the tools to be able to make it back to the final four. Their only loss of the season came to undefeated and top ranked Virginia in a close 13-12 contest at the Carrier Dome.
Syracuse travels to Baltimore this Saturday to face #15 Loyola. The Orange will try to extend their four game winning streak and build on the recent success.
